A Model Height
Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
Matthew 6:27 (NKJV)
It's funny the things we worry about. Models think a lot about height, especially those who are a bit on the short side. Yet, God is the God of impossible dreams. No dream is impossible for Him, including a short fashion model making it big.

We've seen so many unlikely success stories, and they didn't seem to be worrying about anything. Instead, they were focused on their path. They believed they would succeed, and God moves the world through faith.

Does every impossible dream come true? Yes! If the dream is from God and the dreamer holds the course. God does not guarantee timing nor the exact nature of the victory. Plus, Bible heroes did their share of waiting. But godly patience is always rewarded.

Therefore, don't worry about the hard path, the narrow gate, the long shot, or the impracticality your hope. Don't think about what the world says you can't do. God loves a long shot--even a sling shot.

Focus on what God says you can do. He says you can move mountains. He says you are royalty- a chosen generation. He says nothing is impossible for you.

He sent His Son to seal this promise in blood. When worry comes knocking at your door, don't answer. If it catches you off guard, send Satan's emissary (worry) back to his father.

You stay with yours. He is God.

He is the model height. No one measures up to Him, but when Jesus was lifted up, He extended His Arm to lift us up, too. And if we become more than conquerors, we become more than tall enough.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
