A Model's Walk
Walk as children of light.
Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV)
When writing a book called 'Personal Development Secrets' with my super-model mother, Millie Lewis, we created the '16 Rules of Walking.' They include: 1. Proportional steps, 2. Straight feet, 3. Knees flexed, 4. Buttocks tucked, 5. Diaphragm up, 6. Ears over shoulders, 7. Chin parallel to the floor, 8. Shoulders down and relaxed;

9. Models walk a straight line; others walk on parallel lines, 10. Avoid heavy heels, 11. Keep weight centered, 12. Arms brush sides, 13. Proportional arm swing, 14. Hands in profile, 15. Fingers elongated and relaxed, and.. 16. Good eye-contact. Practicing these rules of walking will lift you on many stages.

Practicing God's rules of walking will lift you to eternal life. God teaches us and He tests us--'whether {we} will walk in {His} law or not' (Exodus 16:4). God forbid any of us 'walk contrary' to Him, because then He may 'walk contrary' to us (see Leviticus 26).

In the New Testament, Jesus introduces the ultimate Model's Walk. 'When His disciples saw Him walking on the sea' (Matthew 14:26), when they saw 'the lame walk' (Matthew 11:5), they began to realize they were on a path that would change the world forever.

We are told 'to walk in the same manner as He walked' (1 John 2:6), to walk 'blamelessly' (Luke 1:6), to 'walk orderly' (Acts 21:24), 'so we too might walk in newness of life' (Romans 6:4)--to 'walk in the Spirit' (Galatians 5:16), to 'walk by faith, not by sight' (2 Corinthians 5:7), to 'walk in wisdom' (Colossians 4:5), and most importantly...

To 'walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us' (Ephesians 5:2). Thus do actors, models, and talent for Christ today 'walk worthy of the calling with which you were called' (Ephesians 4:1).
