Acting School 2020: How To Walk
Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:1-3 (NKJV)
Walk worthy of God Who calls you into His Own Kingdom and glory.
1 Thessalonians 2:12 (NKJV)
Actors, models and talent for Christ: How should you walk?

'Walk in newness of life' (Romans 6:4). Be excited. Keep pep in your step and a smile on your face. Every day is an adventure. Show off the joy of Christ!

'Walk by faith, not by sight' (2 Corinthians 5:7). Be fearless. By the world's standards, following Jesus is risky business. By God's standards, the risk is NOT to follow Him.

'Walk properly, as in the day' (Romans 13:13). Be upright. God sees every step you take anyway, so make your Daddy proud.

'Walk as children of light' (Ephesians 5:8). Be mindful of your example and be careful of the roles you accept. Do not glamorize evil. Children of the night should be no child's star.

'Walk in the Spirit' (Galatians 5:16). Be helpful! Carry a basket of fruit and give it out freely: 'Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control' (Galatians 5:22-23).

'Walk in love' (Ephesians 5:2). Be Christ. Love the unloveable. 'By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another' (John 13:35).

'Walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise' (Ephesians 5:15). Be a leader. Don't follow the crowd down a cliff. Instead, lead as many as will follow you up the narrow path.

'Walk in Him' (Colossians 2:6). Be dependent on Him. When you feel overwhelmed and underpowered, He will strengthen you--even carry you. 'I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand' (Isaiah 41:10).

'Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside' (Colossians 4:5). Be savvy. They don't know the Truth, so be gentle. They must respect you before they'll believe you.

'Walk just as He walked' (1 John 2:6). Be bold. Walk right into the mission field. Once there, do what He did: Help people. Rebuke demons.

'Walk according to His Commandments' (2 John 1:6). Be a Bible reader! Know the Truth. It is your most important Script. Memorize It before all else.

'Walk in the truth' (3 John 1:3). Be real. Set the record straight for a world that's grown allergic to hype--especially from false prophets seeking false profits. You are the new generation born of the old.

Walk 'On the sea' (Matthew 14:26). Be fishermen. You've got the bait, too, because your talents are alluring. Walk on the water, or sail right above it--on the airwaves of media. Outsiders need to 'Taste and see that the Lord is good' (Psalm 34:8) before they will want to bite.

Show them the Feet of Christ:

Feet that walked on earth's stage to help us;
Feet that bled from earth's Cross to save us;
Feet that emerged from earth's tomb to free us;
Feet that rose from earth's surface to lead us--that we might rise to lead others.

How? By the way we walk: 'As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!' (Romans 10:15).

## Acting School 2020: How To Walk (Part 11)

NOTE: This is a 2020 edit of a 2014 Shine Devotion series, ...Acting School.' You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Every disciple in every field performs for Christ. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.' Mostly true. But you're not 'merely players.' You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.

P.S. To read the other devotions in this series, please see the Acting School 2020 series.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
