And take the helmet of salvation...
Harness the horses, and mount up, you horsemen! Stand forth with your helmets, polish the spears, put on the armor!
For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His Head.
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
We have the Mind of Christ.
Actors, models and talent for Christ: 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God' (Romans 12:2).
'Test all things; Hold fast what is good.' (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
'Hold fast to your integrity' (Job 2:9).
'Hold fast to the Lord your God' (Joshua 23:8).
Hold fast the pattern of sound words' (2 Timothy 1:13).
'Hold fast the confidence' (Hebrews 3:6).
'Hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering' (Hebrews 10:23).
'Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown' (Revelation 3:11).
'But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ' (2 Corinthians 11:3).
Therefore, rebuke the lies, confusion, conformity, superficiality, arrogance and busyness of the enemy:
'Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ' (2 Corinthians 10:5).
'Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth' (Colossians 3:2),
'And be renewed in the spirit of your mind' (Ephesians 4:23).
'Let this Mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus' (Philippians 2:5),
'And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus' (Philippians 4:7).
That is the helmet of salvation. Put it on every morning. Secure it in place by the spoken Word of God.
## Acting School 2020: The Helmet Of Salvation (Part 31)
NOTE: This is a 2020 edit of a 2014 Shine Devotion series, ...Acting School.' You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Every disciple in every field performs for Christ. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.' Mostly true. But you're not 'merely players.' You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
P.S. To read the other devotions in this series, please see the Acting School 2020 series.
