Acting School (Part 1)
God's Royal Academy
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His Own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Learn from Me...
Matthew 11:29 (NKJV)
It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.'
John 6:45 (NKJV)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.
Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
Juilliard is considered earth's top acting school. It's followed closely by Yale and Oxford. Each lays claim to famous grads. But our world's best schools can't compare to God's Royal Academy. It's a heavenly education available by Royal Decree. Its student body?

Actors, models and talent for Christ.

The Founder of God's Acting Academy is the Lord Himself. He Personally directs every pupil in the original faith-based curriculum. The School's reigning Principal and primary Star is His Son, Jesus. From the beginning, their Administration was intent on higher education. So much so that almost 2000 years ago, God sent Jesus through the Course.

At that time, it was a trial and error, good-versus-evil, action-packed mystery called Life. The Academy offered its chosen people a work-study Curriculum that promised success, but few of them passed. When Jesus came through the program, He was the only Star Who never forgot a Line.

Consider some of His roles: The King of kings came to Earth's stage disguised as a humble Carpenter. Then He became a poor Preacher. After three years, He accepted the position of a Convict on a Cross. It was a show-stopping scene followed by a curtain-raising encore: Resurrection.

After His Academy graduation, Jesus published a new Curriculum. Because while He was here, He enlisted a cast, revealed the mystery, defeated the villain and updated the Rules. Then God opened His Academy to all who would follow His Son--and offered them starring roles of their own.

Today, the Academy still teaches and God's show still runs, but signs have been seen: It may be closing soon. Therefore, a major call has been issued. Actors, models and talent for Christ must prepare for the roles of their lives.

To join Earth's current cast of The Greatest Story Ever Told, God's performers need a royal education. Therefore, keep His Script before your eyes--and kneel down in amazement as your personal Coach comes close: bringing wholeness to your heart, wisdom to your head, truth to your lips, light to your steps and passion to your performance.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
