Acting School (Part 2)
A Summary Of The Master Plan: Ephesians
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power...
Ephesians 1:17-19 (NKJV)
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)
The Book of Ephesians has been called: 'The Rolls Royce of the Epistles,' 'The divinest composition of man' and 'The distilled essence of the Christian religion.' * It's a small Book with only six chapters, but It carries a powerhouse of explanation--giving us short answers to key questions, like:

1) Who are we in the Eyes of our Creator?

2) What is the purpose of our lives?

3) How should we act?

Because act we must and model we should. God's talents beg to be seen. Actors, models and talent for Christ: your time has come. As children, you showed off yourself. You knew you were born to perform. God made it clear to you and your family. Even then, He was preparing you for the stage.

But now, it's time to grow up and step out. It's time to show off Jesus. Everything in your lives has led you to this moment. That every hand applauding you, every eye watching you, every mouth cheering you, and every foot following you will be... 'To the praise of His glory' (Ephesians 1:6), 'To the praise of His glory' (Ephesians 1:12), and 'To the praise of His glory' (Ephesians 1:14).

Not your glory. That's child's play. But His glory. That's the life and death drama for which you were made. It's now in its final season. Your role? To brilliantly illuminate your King to a mixed-up world--by your actions on stage, and especially off.

Earth's most precious Package was hung upon a tree almost 2000 years ago. At first glance, the Gift appeared quite humble and hardly desirable. Nevertheless, It radiated an intriguing power. For those who reached up to take that Gift, joy indescribable burst forth.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: your job is to unwrap Jesus. Phony Christians have tried to wrap Him up again--hiding His light and preventing His purpose. They have failed and will fail. But in the process, our world is more confused than ever.

So learn the Master's plan, accept your role within it, and excel in God's acting school. Your destiny? To graduate with honors.

To Be Continued...

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
