Acting School (Part 33, Conclusion)
Stars Forever And Ever
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in It I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Ephesians 6:18-20 (NKJV)
Actors, models and talent for Christ: Pray boldly. 'Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need' (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus prayed fervently--and often. So should you.
Because ‘the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much' (James 5:16). If you don't feel righteous, that's good. I don't either. Jesus didn't come for those who believed they were righteous, but for those who believed they weren't. Our righteousness comes only by Him.
Our heartfelt prayers move God, angels, men and mountains--more than we know. Don't doubt it, because God's Word proves it. Prayer is your first and last line of defense, but remember the middle part: your armor. Put it on, because God made it available to you. Once armored, fight!
Actors, models and talent for Christ: Speak boldly, like Paul. Paul was an ambassador in chains, but you are free. Use your freedom to fight a two-front war:
The first front is the world of the spirits: both good and bad. Within it, you fight Satan by the power of the Holy Spirit and the armor of God. The second front is the world of men. Unlike your brethren bound by poverty and persecution, American Christians enjoy abundance and freedom.
In addition, the enemy's megaphone of media is here. We own this mission field of entertainment. It covers the world. It can help or harm not only our overseas family in cruel confinement, but also countless others who are meant to join our family. They live in cruel confinements of a different sort: addictions, promiscuity, disease, bullying and hopelessness--and they don't know the source.
So get in the field and take this stage. Walk it and talk it--as God lifts His stars into prime positions.
Seize your opportunity to make a difference. Speak boldly. Shyness is the teddy bear of demons, but should any demon be cuddled? Throw him out. Win friends. Influence people. 'Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction' (2 Timothy 4:2).
Actors, models and talent for Christ: embrace God's direction summarized in the book of Ephesians. Your destiny? To graduate with honors.
'Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever' (Daniel 12:3).
