Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen.
Love God first and foremost, love Him above your kin, love unlovely neighbors, forgive those who harm you, rejoice in maltreatment, seek peace and pursue it, deny your selfishness, abandon your comforts, go and make disciples, pattern your lives by His, practice deliverance...
Don't dare worship idols, don't judge other people, don't store up earthly wealth, don't announce your giving, don't worry about needs, don't fret for your future, maintain your faith in God, beware false prophets, settle disputes quickly, give away possessions, wash one another's feet...
Humble yourselves always, heed governmental rules, honor your marriage vows, care for those in distress, walk the path less traveled, enter the narrow gate, follow closely behind Him, shine as His reflection, stay ready to meet Him, ask, seek and knock to find.*
Actors, models and talent for Christ: Perfect adherence to Old Testament Laws proved impossible for Jews. Perfect adherence to all things Christ commanded seems just as hard for us.* So what should we do? Try and try again. Practice righteousness. Stay hot on His trail.
What's different now? Jesus! He fills in the gap. He perfects our work. But don't get lazy. Diligently, do your best in all things.
