All Things (Part 4)
The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
1 Corinthians 2:14-15 (NKJV) *
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel that displays the glory of Christ, Who is the Image of God.
2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV)
For the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:18 (NKJV)
Without any doubt, I hate abortion. But I don't hate the parents who choose it. I can well understand their confusion. The slogan, Pro Choice, talks about freedom. To the world, it makes a strange kind of sense. Consider a glorious mystery: The Lord God is both pro-choice and pro-life.**

Through Jesus, we've joined a mystery club: 'To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted' (Matthew 13:11). For years, I was among them, outsiders: unenlightened, looking for happiness.

If I faced a tough choice like abortion, judgmental Christians would not have helped me. I would have felt attacked or defiant. Judging eyes are like a loaded shotgun. Loving eyes are like a perfect Friend. When defenses come down, Truth can be seen.

In my B.C. years, I liked CNN. When I turned to Christ, I turned off TV. Since then, I've rejected slanted stories. But right now, I feel called back to the news. So I scan Christian and mainstream reports.

Believer sites overflow with complaints. They insist we call out flagrant sinners. But I know from my own experience, outsiders only see condemnation. To them, we're hurling hateful foolishness.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: You are a bridge God is constructing, a talented assembly of light, His Good News extension to the world. When outsiders are intrigued by you, they'll meet your King at the topmost point.

Because up above the stormy clouds, confusion flees the touch of the Sun. He Himself will convict them of sins, just like He's doing for you and me. This is the standard you're called to lift. God will be glorified in all things, even media.

* Re: Spiritual Wisdom, read the entire Chapter of 1 Corinthians 2:

** Certainly not pro-choice in terms of abortion, but the Bible is clear about man's God-given right to choose his own destiny:;

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
