But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
The anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
If all things are known by God, then all things are taught by God. Clearly, the Holy Spirit is our primary Teacher. God is quite personal, 'For You Yourself have taught me' (Psalm 119:102), and He can use any means to get His Message across:
A talking donkey, a fleeing prophet, a hand on a wall, our visions and dreams, great signs and wonders, a teenage shepherd, a casting of lots, a child giving praise, a transforming touch, His heavenly hosts, His Son on a Cross, a changed enemy or a still small Voice.
Judging from His Words, Jesus held nothing back from us. God is all about advance warnings and full disclosure: always in good time and knowing what our minds can handle. Whether or not we heed Him divides the sheep from the goats.
Actors, models and talent for Christ: Neither Adam nor I was raised in church. Perhaps that's one reason God chose us. Perhaps we understand outsiders, because we were outsiders ourselves. Once in, we were clean and eager slates. His Word and Spirit became our Guides.
A few thought we were disadvantaged. For a little while, I thought so, too. We didn't have years of good sermons, or ears familiar with Christianese. Our knowledge of the Bible was less, although we became faithful readers.
Here's what I'd like you to consider: no man, no matter how good, is God. No pastor can teach you so freshly. Now God's reaching into media. You are His talented instrument. Your Maker wants to play you Himself. Like a violin in His Own Hand.
Ask Him to fine-tune you directly. Go face down on the floor in deep prayer. Stay in His Word every single day, and listen to what He has to say. He wants to teach you personally.
