America's Shame (Part 3, Conclusion)
Man Up
Remember this, and show yourselves men; recall to mind, O you transgressors. Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other.
Isaiah 46:8-9 (NKJV)
'And My Name is blasphemed continually every day. Therefore My people shall know My Name; Therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks: 'Behold, it is I.' ' How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, 'Your God reigns!'
Isaiah 52:5-7 (NKJV)
Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6-7 (NKJV)
It takes a man to admit he is wrong. It takes a man to humble himself. It takes a man to repent. It takes a man to speak up for God when it's not the easy thing to do. But now is the time.

Men and women of God: man up. 'And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed' (Romans 13:11). Salvation = Jesus. The King stands at the door. He's coming soon to gather His people in a glorious show.

Children and teens of God: step up. Show your friends how cool a Christian can be. You know how to do it. God programmed His wisdom, strength and talent within you--in measures never before seen. Because He intends you to lead a revolution against hype and for truth.

America's shame has been its sell-out to idols: in our homes, schools, jobs and nation. Even worse, we've exported our sell-out culture to the world. We have represented the Lord our God in the worst possible light: the false light of hypocrisy instead of the true Light of Christ.

But we have a great opportunity, too. Because Hollywood and New York are within our borders, we have the way and the means to broadcast a better show. It's already started with the witness of faith-based films and faithfully professing stars. Help it grow. God has ordained you for such a time as this:

'Arise, shine; for your light has come,

And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

For behold, darkness will cover the earth

And deep darkness the peoples;

But the Lord will rise upon you

And His glory will appear upon you.

Nations will come to your light,

And kings to the brightness of your rising' (Isaiah 60:1-3).

Actors, models and talent for Christ: turn America's shame to godly gain by repentance--by acting like a Christian. Therein, you raise His standard through the very media that denied it.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
