Audition To Audition
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith.
Romans 1:17 (NKJV)
Actors and artists who walk their walk in the entertainment industry are fierce. Not only is their talent beyond the norm, so is their courage. In each audition, they face giants, ignore fear, risk defeat, and perform.
For those who don't know God, they perform to win a role, a career, a lifestyle, an Oscar, Tony, or Golden Globe. 'They do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown' (1 Corinthians 9:25).
'The crown of righteousness' (2 Timothy 4:8), of 'honor and glory' (Hebrews 2:9), has nothing to do with money, fame, or a fun job. Those golden globes will fade away, but the crown on the heads of God's performers 'does not fade away' (1 Peter 5:4).
Therefore, actors, models and talent for Christ remember the prize as they walk patiently from audition to audition, from faith to faith, 'from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord' (2 Corinthians 3:18).
The Spirit of the Lord within them allows them to perform for Him, to be His stars in the dark skies of media for the lost and prodigal children to follow. Their role is epochal, and their gift was given to them 'for such a time as this' (Esther 4:14).
As they face opposition or rejection, they do not lose hope - but continue the course knowing 'hope does not disappoint' (Romans 5:5), knowing their real audience is but One.
