Bad Ideas (Part 17)
This Verse Proves It!*
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the One Who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel--which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the Gospel of Christ.
Galatians 1:6-7 (NIV)
Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from It, but keep the Commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
Deuteronomy 4:2 (NIV)**
Within the Books of the Bible, Chapter and Verse designations didn't even exist for more than a thousand years after Christ.*** Although these divisions allow us to find our way easily, God's Stories, Guidelines and Letters are meant to be read as a whole.

His Commandments, Promises and punishments are made in context. They're not written to stand alone like one wall of a lovely house. Let me be the first to admit, I've cherished favorite Verses. I've shared them all kinds of places.

But in my path of growing up into a seasoned disciple, I now perceive the false witness (most often unintentional) of a man-edited Bible. We cut Lines from God's true Stories and paste Them into our desires.

Yet hastening to conclusions without all the information does not invite godly wisdom. Instead, we're left vulnerable to the enemy's devices, and he loves to spin God's Verses. Like he did deep in the desert. But Jesus knew God's every Line, so Satan lost that war of Words.****

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Right now, false shepherds still spin God's Word, like hot deejays zigging and zagging. Christians are moving to their warm beats, not knowing enough to call them out.

Brethren: We must increase our knowledge of His Word in these confusing times. Since you act as His ambassadors on the stages of entertainment (the most public places in the world), you need to win in your encounters with the devil, just like Jesus did.

While we're little children to the Lord, let's not fight Satan like tiny tots--allowing Him to twist the Bible toward his poisonous purposes. Instead, let's straighten and realign God's Word for good, as It was written.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
