Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the Ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
The political advocacy of American Christians is intriguing. Thankfully, our government allows it. On the other hand, we're mostly vocal about our own rights and privileges. I don't hear much speaking up on behalf of persecuted brethren overseas although they're praying daily for our help.
The political accusations of American Christians are disturbing. Certainly, our Lord doesn't allow them. By His righteous Words, He's quite vocal about respecting the rulers He permits. I hear so much complaining in regards to unconscionable legal judgments although God allows them for His reasons.
When Christian leaders denounce government, they're denouncing their living conditions like God's people did during Exodus. Maybe you can't see any parallel, because Moses was such a great prophet and our legislators certainly aren't.
But think of Israel in Roman hands. Didn't God's children suffer terribly? Can you show me where Jesus denounced them? No, because the world's only sinless Man followed God's Orders without exception--trusting in Him to make all wrong things right.
Actors, models and talent for Christ: Although your brethren gripe and grumble, don't join them in this sinful practice. Even if free speech is our birth right, it's not a born-again Christian's right to disregard God's best Example.
Work to re-raise His standard of love in every unloveable nation and clearly idolatrous cultures.
