Beginnings (Part 1)
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)
Our Lord specializes in beginnings. That's not to say He doesn't finish well, because He brings to perfect completion every person, place and thing He began.
His surpassing work being acknowledged, our Mighty God is all about newness. He is an adventurous Creator, Who made us to be adventurous, too. From earth's first day until now and beyond, He's never repeated an invention.
Not one moment, snowflake, creature, person or experience is like another. Nothing God has made should be called boring or be discarded as unimportant, because certainly they are not to Him.
'The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works' (Psalm 145:9, NKJV).
Since Satan hates God and all of His works (most especially human beings), he seeks to harm everything God began. How? By provoking premature endings: to kill, steal and destroy all beginnings...
To make us, God's most treasured possession, consider ourselves as irrelevant; to trap us in ruts, pits and stale places; to make us feel old, dull and stuporous.
