Beginnings (Part 2)
Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the One Who is the Amen--the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of God's new creation.

Revelation 3:14 (NLT)
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
Revelation 22:13 (NLT)
I intend to get analytical regarding the Book of Revelation. The Word Himself is revealing something. He shows our end and a grand BEGINNING.

Note: some scholars think Christ's seven Letters to His churches are chronological, marking the evolution of the church. Some also believe we are in end times, and His final Letter refers to us.

In It, He calls Himself the BEGINNING of God's New Creation (3:14). Yet the church as a whole is in bad shape*: Today, are we rich and self-satisfied? Are we lukewarm and bent, but don't know it?

Are we in urgent need of a Face-lift? If so, the Healer will work on our hearts. When they're in good shape, the face is lovely; we glow like little children in God's yard.

Therein, the first beginning to embrace is our own reconfirmation in Christ. If we are securely fastened to Him, every day will be a new beginning with untold adventures along our paths.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
