Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...
Joshua 24:15 (NKJV)
Are you a leader or a follower? Actors, models and talent for Christ are marked to be leaders in entertainment and among men. As your influence grows, friends and fans will follow your every move - both on stage and off.
But don't think yourself above them, because we are _all_ followers. We all serve someone or something. Therefore, the most important question anyone can ever ask and answer is this one: Whom do you serve?
Are you serving your boss, agent, preacher, friends, family, money, power, popularity, or fame?
If you are following a person, let him be clear - even transparent. You must be able to see through a leader to the One he is following. You must be able to see through a leader to the path ahead. If you can't see goodness beyond him, if you can't see goodness behind him, move to clear ground.
There are a million paths, but only two directions: 'life or death, blessing or cursing, God or Satan.
We must choose. Joshua pushes us hard with the words 'this day.' Making no choice (delay tactics) is extremely risky. We don't know how many days we have left. If we don't choose life, the enemy may choose us.
No person alone can resist Satan's supernatural temptations. He knows our vulnerabilities better than we do, better than anyone except God. Only Jesus defeated Satan. With love so profound we can only bow our heads, He invites us into His victory, giving us power and protection.
Let's join Joshua in the Promised Land when he says, 'As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.'
