Deliverance (Part 3)
They Shall Expel Demons
And signs shall attend those who believe, even such as these. By making use of My Name they shall expel demons. They shall speak new languages.
Mark 16:17 (Weymouth New Testament)
These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My Name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues.
Mark 16:17 (NASB)
In kindness, many people give me books. In response, I feel I must accept them. That being said, I'm compelled to confess: modern Christian authors aren't my first love. My time is tight, and I want to be wise.

But I do have the desire to learn more. So I go straight to wisdom's Source: God's Word. With one author, I made an exception. I happened upon three Derek Prince books: Spiritual Warfare, Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose, and They Shall Expel Demons.*

I read them all, and then I read some more. I liked his simple but scholarly style. He wrote in a way I could understand. As a pastor, he wasn't taught and didn't seek a deliverance ministry. But sorely afflicted people sought him.

Expelling demons wasn't all he did, but it's something he studied and practiced.

Actors, Models and Talent for Christ: Demons are hot in entertainment. Most people believe 'something's out there.' They feel a supernatural tug. Unfortunately, it's the wrong pull. Media glamorizes the occult, making witches and vampires our heroes.**

Your job is to represent the true Hero, fight the good fight and come out on top. Therefore, study the rules of engagement. Be wise in the enemy's devices. Be wiser in your Captain's Commission. Because we're in the middle of a war, and you have been called to witness His light.

To Be Continued...

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
