Depression Solutions: Moving Forward
Go through,
Go through the gates!
Prepare the way for the people;
Build up,
Build up the highway!
Take out the stones,
Lift up a banner for the peoples!
Isaiah 62:10 (NKJV)
Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV)
Actors, models and talent for Christ: If the best defense is a good offense, moving forward pushes the enemy back. Don't let anything stop you, especially depression. Jesus never said it would be easy. In truth, He said the opposite. Even so, He gave you a Great Commission.

Consider one theme song:

We shall overcome
We shall overcome
We shall overcome some day

Oh, deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome some day

We'll walk hand in hand
We'll walk hand in hand
We'll walk hand in hand some day

Oh, deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome some day

We shall all be free
We shall all be free
We shall all be free some day

Oh, deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome some day

We are not afraid
We are not afraid
We are not afraid some day

Oh, deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome some day

We are not alone
We are not alone
We are not alone some day

Oh, deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome some day

The whole wide world around
The whole wide world around
The whole wide world around some day

Oh, deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome some day

We shall overcome
We shall overcome
We shall overcome some day

Oh, deep in my heart
I do believe
We shall overcome some day*

Actors, models and talent for Christ: 'Go in and posses the land' (Deuteronomy 1:8, NKJV). Yesterday, Joshua entered The Promised Land of Canaan. God's people fought for the death of strangers with weapons of war. By His Hand, they won.

Then Jesus came, and He changed the terms of engagement. Today, you enter 'The Promise' land of entertainment. God's performers fight for the lives of neighbors with weapons of love. By His Hand, you win.

In the process of fighting for others, God fights for you.

Depression? It's gone.

You are a new person, and you have a new purpose. 'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new' (2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV).

Including media and the whole wide world around. Because you are in it.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
