Though He slay me, I will hope in Him.
But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more.
Tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who was given to us.
If faith is the substance of things hoped for, then hope is like an invisible thread that our faith weaves into reality. Or hope is like transparent building blocks that our faith constructs into bright futures. Or maybe hope is like moldable clay that our Lord shapes into beautiful lives.
But without hope, faith stalls out in neutral. Because hope is faith's predecessor: the impossible dream that won't give up--no matter what obstacles confront it. Is that why God despises dream haters: scoffers who denounce the hopes we hold dear?
'Whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire' (Matthew 5:22).
The poor woman with an issue of blood hoped to be healed from her infirmity. While time and money passed without success, she continued to hold on to her hope. So when Opportunity walked her way, she reached out to Him and her dream came true.
Actors, models and talent for Christ: The Lord says 'Hope does not disappoint.' Although He doesn't give a timeline for your hopes to materialize, He does promise good things are coming. So keep envisioning your success, and keep casting away denials, a.k.a. demons of hopelessness.
'For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry' (Habakkuk 2:3).
