Eating Right (Part 26: Chemical Concoctions #1)
The Lord said, 'It is because they have forsaken My law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed Me or followed My law. Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts'... Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water.'

Two sentences sum up AMTC's 'Eating Right' series:
Everything God makes is good. Everything man fakes is bad. Where food is concerned, 'faking it' includes 'adding to, taking away, or changing the structures created by God' (my words). He puts it this way:
'You shall not add to the Word which I command you, nor take from It, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you' (Deuteronomy 4:2). His commandments include eating right. Jeremiah 9:13-15 reveals a contaminated food supply as a consequence of disobedience.
In the United States, contamination covers our food like a slow-moving plague. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows chemicals in American foods that are against the law in Europe. Why? Money, greed, and the corruption that taints our political system: a.k.a. campaign contributions and lobbying.
Most food additives serve one purpose: to increase profits. Whether to make cows fat or chickens grow, whether to prolong shelf life or increase appetites, whether to fix tainted taste or restore faded color, it's all about money.
As millions of Americans suffer the effects of disease, let's review a handful of destructive food additives:
1) Artificial Sweeteners (including Saccharine, Aspartame, and Sucralose): They are linked to cancer, migraines, depression, eye damage, seizures, birth defects, Parkinson's disease, and anxiety. They are also linked to weight gain. How many overweight people struggling to lose weight drink diet sodas?
2) Monosodium Glutamate (a.k.a. MSG and dozens of alternative names) is linked to neurological diseases, learning disabilities, obesity, eye damage, headaches, fatigue, depression, and much more.
