False Stars In False Light
Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness.
Luke 11:35 (NKJV)
Nothing created can turn off true light. It's not powered by electricity, batteries or any form of fuel. It's not a fire that can be snuffed or quenched. True light is powered by the Creator. His Son showed and shared how it works in men.

Because Jesus embodied God's true light. His unfailing dependability overcomes every design of darkness.

Sadly, the tempting designs of darkness are prancing around modern media. How? Through razzle-dazzle celebrities, who shine at a distance, but not up close.

False stars in false light started with Satan. God stopped his show and cast him down to earth. Jesus said, 'I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven' (Luke 10:18).

Can this lovely former angel confuse talented performers who don't know God? Yes! 'And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light' (2 Corinthians 11:14).

Confusion is his ongoing mission. Clarity of heart, mind and form is yours.

With God's Light fueling your performances, you shine as brightly off stage... as on it. Because His Spirit never stops glowing.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: You're called to enter show business Stage Right... that those who receive no guidance at home may be guided by how you live your life- like beacons pointing to a greater Home.

Therefore, understand and embrace your mission... while you understand and deny Satan. How? Resist the temptations to embellish or replace the Light of Truth with the false light of bling.

You're called to stand up in brilliant contrast to false stars, without judgment or shaming. You're called to be your King's ambassadors: trending, loving, positive examples that lost and lonely people can follow.

## False Stars In False Light

NOTE: This is a 2021 update of a 2011 Carey Lewis Devotion. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
