Fellowship (Part 27)
Church Missionaries: Your Roles
Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.
Exodus 19:5-6 (NKJV)
The lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the Law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
Malachi 2:7 (NKJV)
He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God
2 Corinthians 5:19-20 (NIV)
You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your Blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.
Revelation 5:9-10 (NKJV)
Actors, models and talent for Christ: understand your roles as God's 21st century communication task force:
As His fishermen, your talent is God's lure in the murky seas of media.
As His messengers, your voice is clear and true in a chorus of confusion.
As His saints, your purity and virtue are amazingly transparent.
As His treasure, your value to Him is greater than beauty, fame or fortune.
As His priests, your best sermon is a silent film called, How You Live Your Life.
As His ambassadors, you represent your homeland best by how you love earth's people.
As His kings, you rule by this creed: To whom much is given, much is required.*
As His soldiers, you subdue Satan. To him you are fierce. To men you are kind.
As His disciples, you go into all the world with good news for all creation.
As His witnesses, you testify of His wonderful works in your life's story.
As His performers, you understudy The Rock and defer all glory to Him.
As His stars, you rise, shine and glow on the dark stages of entertainment.
As His trailblazers, you clear a new way for the Lord: a highway of holiness.
As His models, you look sleek but not sleazy, cool but not cheap, bought but not sold.
As His banner, you raise a high standard: a healthier goal for our children.
As His leaders, you serve. Your highest position is kneeling in submission.
As His followers, you pick up your cross and carry it for all the world to see.
