Field Of Dreams (Part 20, Conclusion)
Today And Tomorrow
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Romans 13:12 (NKJV)
How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!'
Romans 10:14-15 (NKJV)
Actors, models and talent for Christ, consider yourselves commissioned. Your entrance into the mission field of media is a two-front campaign:

Consider first the things you can see, as in people, places and things. To succeed by God's Hand in the race for roles, you must: sharpen your skills, stay in shape, know His Rules, respect their rules, walk in confidence, stand against giants, act right on stage, act better off stage, set a new style, wait on His timing, thank Him for everything, give up the glory and stand in for Jesus.

It's all about love, as in His for you and yours for them: your fans, friends and family; your fellowship and support team. Loving them is easy, but don't forget them. They keep you real and lift you up--in person and in prayer.

Harder to love are industry professionals and competitors who don't love you. Maybe they're cursing, crass, lewd or brash. Maybe they're blind, lame, deaf and dumb to your talent. But Jesus loves them. So must you.

Hardest to love are your enemies: people who hurt you. Or people who hurt others. Maybe they're blind, lame, deaf and dumb to goodness and to God. But God loves them. So must you. Even they may be redeemed.

Consider next the things you can't see, as in God, Satan and your future. To succeed by God's Hand in the race for life, you must: follow your King, love His Word, fight the enemy, forget his lies and surrender your future in faith to God.

Without a doubt, Jesus stands with you. The greater your obedience to Him, the greater His blessing toward you. Therefore, dress for success in the righteousness of Christ. Your future is guaranteed to be brilliant. The only question is how brightly you shine today.

Without a doubt, Satan stands against you. The greater your threat to his plans, the greater his attacks toward yours. Therefore, dress for success in the armor of God. If the enemy can't steal your future, then he'll try to steal your present--with lies from the pit of hell.

So don't believe his hiss. Instead, believe His Word. Keep your eyes on God and your hand on the plow. Through you, this field of dreams called media will bring millions to the ultimate truth of Jesus.

That awakening is worth every effort.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
