Friends To Success: Faith
The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has my Word, let him speak my Word faithfully.
Jeremiah 23:28 (NKJV)
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
1 John 5:4 (NKJV)
If your dream is to act, model, sing, dance, or create, speak your dream into existence by faith--then walk toward it. Do mountains of challenges stand in your way? 'If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you' (Matthew 17:20).

'Then He who sat on the throne said, 'Behold, I make all things new.' And He said to me, 'Write, for these words are true and faithful' ' (Revelation 21:5). Does this promise of speaking our faith-based dreams into reality--in this world--seem too good to be true? Yes. But in God's Word, everything is both good and true. God's Word reigns on earth as it does in Heaven.

Therefore, act like a winner, because God will make you one. Walk like a supermodel, because God fashioned you to lead others. Sing like a rock star, because the ultimate Rock Star is within you. Dance throughout your life, because 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things' (Romans 10:15).

'A voice is calling, 'Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God' ' (Isaiah 40:3). If you sometimes feel as peculiar as John the Baptist in Hollywood, maybe you are! Los Angeles is both mountains and desert, and you are to pave a highway.

You are part of Jesus' all-star entertainment team. Keep the faith. Play your part. He is coming.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
