Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.
Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the ground...
My life's been filled with beautiful models, starting with my fashion model mother. Later, when she owned four modeling schools (teaching girls the beauty biz of posing, posture, wardrobe, fitness, makeup and style), I witnessed amazing transformations.
But they were all about the physical... and everything physical fades away, tarnishes or is cast to the ground.
'Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting...' (Proverbs 31:30, NIV).
In studying this subject intently, in being viewed as a beauty expert, in watching how beauty affects people, I'd like to share some deeply felt insights:
1) As an attention-attracting asset, beauty is a responsibility. Beautiful saints must model their Maker.
2) The devil craves attention for himself. He seeks to turn every gift and talent to his own corrupt and destructive ends.
3) Esther is a wonderful example of beauty's ideal purpose and duty. It's only when the heart outshines the face that God is glorified and good is done.
