Gotcha's Deceits: False Food
Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Isaiah 55:2 (NIV)
You will eat but never have enough. Your hunger pangs and emptiness will remain. And though you try to save your money, it will come to nothing in the end.
Micah 6:14 (NLT)
Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive.
Proverbs 23:3 (NIV)
If we live in the age of media, we also live in the age of false food: chips, dips, snacks, sweets, treats and quick everything.

We're too busy building bigger houses and furnishing them with countless items to grow, tend, find, buy, fix and eat real food.

As a junk food addict in remission, as a formerly enormous person, as a downsizing accumulator, I'd like to shout my thoughts from the roof top.

But my neighbors aren't at home very much. When they are, they're indoors watching TV--most likely eating whatever's easy.

To consider:

1) Visibly, our bodies are suffering, which inhibits our fitness for duty in following and exampling Jesus.

2) If I could swear (which God doesn't ordain), I'd tell you junk food is from Satan. His tasty tidbits are sweet, slow poison.

3) Although America's majority (even churches) eat fake foods constantly, God singled you out to be His remnant.
