Whenever I journey to Spain, I shall come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.
That is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the Day of His return is drawing near.
Every pleasure in life is multiplied, when you have loved ones with whom to share it.
Every sorrow and hardship is lessened, when you have caring friends to comfort you.
Every burden is more manageable, when you have a second pair of strong arms.
Every depression is sooner lifted, when you have encouragers around you.
Every troubling matter is brought to light, when you have godly friends to counsel you.
Every dark battle is won more quickly, when prayer warriors stand beside you.
Every time the Lord is called He will come, when even two saints gather in His Name.
Looking back on my life-- I've been tempted toward isolation too many times. I spent time with self-pity and burnout, but they turned out to be poor company.
Hope is strengthened when we're with hopeful friends. If you're wondering how to make more friends, join groups with godly people and speak up.
'A man who has friends must himself be friendly' (Proverbs 18:24, NKJV)
