Hot Topics... Media: News
Do not spread false reports.
Exodus 23:1 (NIV)
Do not lie. Do not deceive one another.
Leviticus 19:11 (NIV)
Donald Trump pulled the fragile bandaid of trust from our news. It's barely sticking anyway, because the wound underneath it keeps growing. The wound? Corruption. The bandaid? Fake news

Maybe some of you never trusted news. I did, but I've read disturbing reports from insiders who left the field. They detail tirades, edits, short cuts and choosing stories for shock value alone.

I see one good result from the Trump-era polarization of newsrooms, where the truth seems to be a moving target--fleeing from the grasp of prejudicial reporters who want to twist it to their purposes.

Consider some good news:

We the sheep of the United States of America, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity...

Are spending more time in prayer, His Book and Son-light... as the only real Sources of truth and leadership in a confusing world.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
