Hot Topics... My Opinion
The people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul's message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.
Acts 17:11 (NLT)
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
Proverbs 25:2 (NASB)
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
Proverbs 9:10 (NLT)
Before I present some of America's hottest topics... for you to wind, grind, measure, percolate and pour for a taste, please note: these opinions are mine and may not agree with yours.
That being said, they are steeped in prayer and based on God's Word--in my best ability to understand His bottom Line. Because the closing word on the hottest topics must be love.
Here's another thing: the more I learn, the less I think I know, especially regarding God's inscrutable purposes--like why He allows people or practices so clearly wrong.
Yet our best vision is like peeping through a tiny pinhole, compared to God's panoramic past, present and future sight. In our quest for knowledge, we must remain confident in God.
Surely, right will win: inevitably and eternally.
Let's be like the Bereans: searching Scriptures and seeking God.
I welcome your opinions that we may grow up together.
