Hot Topics... Racism
The Lord doesn't see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
1 Samuel 16:7 (NLT)
I've always thought racism was stupid.

Do good gardens grow only one flower? Do big forests feature only one tree? Do human eyes see only one color?

Do all people eat identical foods? Should all of us wear the same uniform? (Adolph Hitler thought so.)

Also, tagging ourselves as black or white isn't correct, except for albinos. The darkest person is chocolate brown. The lightest person is vanilla beige. Check it out. We're in the same family. Can race simply be a Starbucks flavor?

And for your urgent consideration:

How can racism and Christianity co-exist in the same human being? If God is brilliant and racism isn't, then I think the least a racist can do is to publicly disassociate with our infinite, diverse Creator.

Defaming any of His creations... is defaming the One Who designed them... with immeasurable, fatherly love. Misrepresenting God is a grave sin.

Everyone bleeds red. Jesus most of all. Only the heart counts.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
