Hurry Up And Wait (Part 5)
When To Hurry
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Come to Me.
John 6:37 (NKJV)

Mark 8:34 (NKJV)
Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matthew 4:19 (NKJV)
Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.

Life is a series of choices: 'I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live' (Deuteronomy 30:19).
Christians choose Jesus. He is the most important Choice we'll ever make. Countless choices follow the big one--including direction and speed. Which brings us back to the godly practice called 'hurry up and wait'.
To hurry 'up' is to follow God. He is up. When He calls, we neither hesitate nor delay.
Abraham hurried up: 'He ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, and said, 'My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant' ' (Genesis 18:2-3).
Moses hurried up: 'Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped' (Exodus 34:8).
David hurried up: 'I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments' (Psalm 119:60).
Peter and Andrew hurried up: 'They immediately left their nets and followed Him' (Matthew 4:20). So did James, John and Matthew.
Mary, the sister of Lazarus, hurried up: ' 'The Teacher has come and is calling for you.' As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him' (John 11:28-29).
Once he met The Truth, Paul hurried up too: 'Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God' (Acts 9:20).
At this moment in time, actors, models and talent for Christ are called to hurry up the mountain of media. It seems like a dangerous climb, but hundreds of millions of lives are at stake. The danger is theirs, not yours. You have a Guide Line tied to your Leader, Who is Jesus.
'When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth' (John 16:13). To follow Jesus is to hurry up.
