Did the 'I am' (Exodus 3:14), 'Who is and Who was and Who is to come' (Revelation 1:8)... imagine us before our parents met? Even before the earth was formed? Yes!
Did the 'Everlasting Father' (Isaiah 9:6) make us in His Image, as a proud father might imagine a coming child? Yes!
Did the 'Creator of all things' (Colossians 1:16) imagine our faces to be distinct from all others? Yes!
Did the 'Lord of glory' (1 Corinthians 2:8) imagine our lives to be filled with wonder and purpose? Yes!
Did Jehovah-Jireh, 'The Lord will provide,' (Genesis 22:14), load us with benefits daily, and set us up for a vast inheritance? Yes! Do we have requirements to receive this inheritance? Yes! Consider the #1 criteria: Adoption.
'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved' (Ephesians 1:3-6).
Actors, models and talent for Christ, imagine this: God made you perfectly. Your skin, hair, face and body are extraordinarily beautiful to Him. Certainly, He wants you to keep your exterior clean and groomed, lit and welcoming, so strangers will be drawn to you: a temple of His Holy Spirit.
God destined you for adoption into His Kingdom by way of Jesus Christ. Your Names are written in the 'Lamb's Book of Life' (Revelation 21:27).* He gave you a Great Commission: to go into the world as His ambassadors. You fulfill that role best by looking like Him: certainly, on the inside, but also
on the outside.
Often, I speak of the plain appearance of Jesus, the Man. Because He came to earth undercover.**
But once, on the Mount of Transfiguration, He gave Peter, James and John a glimpse of His true appearance:*** 'We were eyewitnesses of His majesty' (2 Peter 1:16); 'The appearance of His Face became different' (Luke 9:29); 'His Face shone like the sun' (Matthew 17:2). It was a great reveal.
Today, you are God's great reveal. So reveal His beauty through your own. In the highest style, in simplicity and originality, rise on the stages of media... to shine for 'The Father of lights' (James 1:17).

** 'He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His Appearance that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a Man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we held Him in low esteem' (Isaiah 53:2-3, NIV).
