Judgment (Part 22)
Gender Equality
God created man in His Own Image; in the Image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Genesis 1:27 (NKJV)
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is Head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her...
Ephesians 5:22-25 (NKJV)
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28 (NKJV)
My mom was a southern entrepreneur before women were common in the work force. I grew up believing in equal rights, regardless of gender, color or creed. When I joined her in the talent business, I was quick to shout, Discrimination!... if I believed I was disrespected.

Now this gender equality demand has broadened to LGBT causes. They fight for the respect they feel is due. Truly, no one should be scorned or disdained who's trying to live and work in this world. No one is righteous enough to cast stones, except Jesus, and He declined the job.

My own quest for equal rights is changing, because I want to imitate my Boss. If the King of kings became a Servant, then I must humble myself and serve, too. A woman's worth is not less than a man's, if she acts in submission as his wife.* Jesus reveals freedom in submission.**

God tells His men not just to love their wives, but 'Honor all people' (1 Peter 2:17). No exclusions.

I now battle for victims in bondage to traffickers, extremists and bigots. I encourage Christians to love, rather than hate; to refuse giving or taking offense; to be patiently faithful in prayer and see the bigger picture of our Lord.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: You're cast to lead the church and the world like His first century followers. Tremendous evil surrounded them, but they didn't condemn outsiders. They focused on their Great Commission and left matters of judgment to God.

** For me, both surrender to Christ and submission to others are processes. I can't claim I've mastered either one, but I'm trying. I believe Jesus will cover me and perfect me as I grow to be more like Him.
