Judgment: Which Toilet?
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
1 John 2:16 (NASB)
They love the place of honor at banquets and the chief seats...
Matthew 23:6 (NASB)
Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches...
1 Timothy 6:17 (NASB)
The question of which toilet people use, including LGBT activists, is a question of wealth and privilege. Because even in this gadget-rich age, 30-60% of the world, totaling several billion people, must live without any toilets at all.

Sadly, kids are the most vulnerable to diseases from poor sanitation. Among them, diarrhea is fatal, and it's their second leading cause of death.

So, America's previous debate on what gender should enter what bathroom (which seems deeply significant to us) seems deeply unappreciative to them. They would be thrilled to use any toilet.

I'm glad I abstained from the toilet tiff. I'm in the group responding, 'Whatever.' When my grandkids use a public bathroom, I'm going inside with them anyway. If any predator dares to enter, he'll be no match for a grand momma bear.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Compared to most of earth's citizens, you are rich beyond their fondest dreams. Since struggling fans will watch you closely, don't complain like spoiled Americans.

Instead, study what others endure. Be thankful, gracious and flexible. Laws may change, but don't fret about them. God will help you rise above the fray. Save your big guns for the evil one.

NOTE: This is a republished edit of a 2016 devotion series, 'Judgment.' You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Every disciple in every field performs for Christ. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.' Mostly true. But you're not 'merely players.' You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
