Leadership: The A-Team
Choose wise, understanding, and knowledgeable men from among your tribes, and I will make them heads over you.
Deuteronomy 1:13 (NKJV)
If you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.
James 3:14-15 (NASB)
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.
James 3:17 (NASB)
God reveals two sources of wisdom: heavenly and demonic. Are we inspired by 'The Mind of Christ' (1 Corinthians 2:16) or 'The angel of the abyss' (Revelation 9:11)?

Consider two definitions of 3 important words:

1) Wisdom: a) knowledge of what is true or right; b) scholarly knowledge or learning*

2) Understanding: a) enlightened intelligence; b) intellectual faculties*

3) Knowledge: a) acquaintance with truths; b) acquaintance with facts*

Godly leaders form the A-Team, because their wisdom comes from above. They possess 'a knowledge of what is right' by means of an 'enlightened intelligence' and 'acquaintance with truths.' They lead by GPS: a godly positioning system with holy values. His Spirit directs them. Therein, they (and their followers) rise above the potholes, pit stops and confusion of life.

Earthly leaders form the B-Team, because their wisdom comes from below. They possess a 'scholarly knowledge of learning' by means of 'intellectual faculties' and an 'acquaintance with facts.' They lead by a different GPS: a global positioning system with men's values. Other spirits direct them. Therein, they (and their followers) step into the potholes, pit stops and confusion of life.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: you are the A-Team. Never leave home or lead others without the right navigation system.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
