Lights, Camera, Action (Part 15)
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (NKJV)
To sum up this series, if you:

1) Turn on your light, 2) Remember the camera, 3) Dress for success, 4) Put others first, 5) Receive instructions with humility, 6) Take care of your family, 7) Work to set a good example,

8) Put on a happy face, 9) Stay connected to God, 10) Say thank You in every circumstance, 11) Fan the flame of your talent, 12) Embrace the vision, 13) Audition repeatedly, and 14) Refuse bad roles...

You win.

You're sanctified: 'free from sin, entitled to reverence or respect, productive of or conducive to spiritual blessing' (online dictionary). Inside out. Spirit, soul, and body. You're blameless at the coming of our Lord, covered by His blood, and celebrating His victory by your own.

Maybe the hardest part to grasp is that God does all this for you. If you continue to step out in faith, He will continue to lead your dance.

Soon it will be award time. His stage is infinitely bigger than the Academy Awards. Heavenly Hosts are cheering for you--too many to count, but you bow to an Audience of One. A victory crown awaits you, along with a Voice like no other, a Voice that says,

'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord' (Matthew 25:23).

Actors, models, and talent for Christ: your time has come.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
