Love... Is A Letter
You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly, you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 (NKJV)
Who doesn't want to get a love letter? A piece of paper praising our value, listing our virtues and lifting us up?
Paul's Epistles did a lot of lifting, but one small Chapter does very much more. It reveals a key to our destiny:
He describes Christians as God's Epistles: His walking, talking, living love letters--portraying Christ's Heart to the whole wide world.
Even more than pen, ink and Commandments, God created live communicators: precious carriers of His affection--not just for us as beloved children, but for others who don't yet know their worth and urgently need to hear it from Him.
This realization puts the purpose of media in a splendid, new light: one where God's stars are rising and shining.
Therefore, we love.
