Love... Is Calming
A gentle answer turns away wrath...
Proverbs 15:1 (NIV)
At the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
Philippians 2:10 (NIV)
When gentle arms embrace a mourner, when rescue workers enter chaos, when quiet words soothe a frightened child...
When compassion responds to anger, when Jesus speaks to thunderous storms... love takes control.
' 'Hush, be still.' And the wind died down and became perfectly calm' (Mark 4:39).
Because love is calming. It overrides personal and situational disasters. It's like putting on a Kevlar vest (a.k.a. the 'Breastplate of righteousness,' Ephesians 6:14, NKJV)...
The impact is felt, but blows stop short of the heart. Harm is diminished. Anxiety is relieved. Recovery begins.
In the jungle of life, love is a Lion, specifically the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
When we enter this King's dominion, every scowling, howling, growling thing bows in His Presence and calms at His Command.
Just ask Daniel.
Therefore, we love.
