Love... Is Healing
Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
Mark 2:17 (NKJV)
By His wounds you were healed.
1 Peter 2:24 (NASB)
Jesus is a miraculous Healer. As a Man, healing was a large part of His ministry

Usually, He healed up close by the power of His Hand or Word. Sometimes, He healed at a distance by the power of the Spirit.

He healed large numbers of people who traveled to see Him. But He also made house calls. Once, He traveled by boat to heal a naked lunatic.

Then and now, healing followed a heart examination. Because godly healing requires a faithful heart. Neither cars nor people can run on a weak engine.

What can help a worried or wounded heart? Love.

Surely, love is the heart's best medicine. It's the spoonful of sugar in Mary Poppins. Love helps a wounded heart hope. Hope invites faith. Faith invites healing.

Therefore, we love.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
