Love... Is Inseparable
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35, 37-39 (NKJV)
Only once in the history of the world was true love separated. It was deliberate, temporary and of the highest Order. It was when Jesus hung on the Cross.
'About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud Voice, saying, 'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?' that is, 'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?' ' (Matthew 27:46, NKJV).
Jesus accepted a momentary separation to prevent our permanent separation.
Many of us have lived through painful separations: loved ones who left this present world or trials that divided us from them.
But even beyond these losses, even as God mends broken hearts, His love grows increasingly clear... and near.
True love does not break like fragile glass. It can't be exploded or eroded like rock. It can't be dammed or divided like water.
Love defies all physical laws of separation.
Therefore, we love.
