Love... Is Merciful
God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)
Ephesians 2:4-5 (NLT)
He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
Titus 3:5 (NLT)
As an old song goes...

'Love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage.' If so, love is the white horse ridden by Jesus Himself. We are His bride being led to the perfect Promised Land.

His harness is mercy, and our carriage is forgiveness.

What is more merciful than connecting, uplifting love?

Love that chooses to see us in the best possible Light...
Love that ignores the lesser things for a greater beauty...
Love that fervently desires to cover and protect us.

How can we do less than give mercy to others right now?

Therefore, we love.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
