Love... Is Proven
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (NKJV)
He is risen.
Matthew 28:6 (KJV)
God says, 'Prove all things; hold fast that which is good' (1 Thessalonians 5:21, KJV), and the greatest of all things is love.

God proved His love when He sent His only Son to be born, grow, live, preach, teach, tend, heal, pray, cry, fight, win, hang and die for us. For lovable, undeserving us. When Jesus arose from death, He invited us to join Him.

If Point A is the womb, Point B is the tomb and Point C is the bloom of new life, then Jesus demonstrated exactly how to move from Point A to Point B. When we get that far, the rest of the journey is in God's Infallible Hands.

Earth is an opportunity. Life is a school. Death is a door.

For those of us who believe what Christ said (and proved) waits beyond the doorway of death... we are commissioned to spread the Good News.

We can't open ears or soften hears. Those jobs belong to God. But what we can do is live to the fullest; to broadcast by word and deed: Jesus is risen.

All who believe in Him can rise with Him.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
