Love... Is Refreshing
Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:14 (NKJV)
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.
John 7:38 (NKJV)*
It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
Revelation 21:6 (NASB)
God's Spirit is described as a fire: a passionate, stirring blaze: One Who rouses the hero in you and razes your trashy constructions.

But He's also described as water: a cooling, restoring drink: One Who refreshes your thirsty soul and washes away the stain of sin.

By consequence, refreshed hearts overflow with encouragement for others.

Because 'What you say flows from what is in your heart' (Luke 6:45, NLT).

Ever notice sunny people speak 'Son-ny' words? Words that bring life to others and to their dreams?

Let's pray: Lord, keep Your Water Fountain flowing within us.

Therefore, we love.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
