Love... Is Supporting
I cried out, 'I am slipping!' But Your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.
Psalm 94:18 (NLT)
We who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength...
Romans 15:1 (NASB)
You must support the weak.
Acts 20:35 (NKJV)
Jesus spent His time supporting the weak: hungry masses, fearful sailors, sightless beggars, outcast lepers, guilty losers, stricken patients, grieving parents, lonely widows, pleading pagans and faithless friends.

In truth, supporting the weak was His goal.

Therein, the strongest Man to walk the earth was quite content in His supporting role. As such, the brightest star to shine on stage never sought celebrity or awards. Instead, He purposefully turned them down.

He sought only His Father's approval. In God's Eyes, supporting is headlining. Because supporting showcases His love.

Therefore, we love.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
