Marketplace Ministry
Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mark 16:15 (NIV)
Shining your light in church is like drinking from the fountain of youth on a lovely island. You may live forever, but how have you helped the rest of the world survive?

'Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising' (Isaiah 60:1-3).

Each person on this earth has a marketplace ministry and a circle of influence. It may be your home, school, business, or the entertainment industry. Jesus gave you a final command: 'Go into all the world.' It's very dark right now.

Many Christians ask, 'What is my calling?' 'How can I best serve God?' or 'Where should I go?' You are already there! God has placed you exactly where He wants you to be. He does not intend your life to be a guessing game of His divine will. Your ministry is here and now. If God wants you elsewhere, He will open other doors, and you will receive confirmations.

If you are working in an office with unbelievers, meeting clients who don't know Jesus, or in a class with people-pleasers, you are in the right place at the right time. Hollywood and New York? Huge mission fields. 'He told them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field' ' (Luke 10:2).

We are the few: the workers sent into His harvest fields. They are many, and we will not find them behind the doors of our churches. Every business is a marketplace ministry, as is AMTC. You are our stars, teachers, priests, performers, role models, and ambassadors.

The stage is set. The audience is waiting, and this is a curtain call you don't want to miss.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
