Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly.
Although actors, models and talent for Christ are team players, each is unique. Every child of the Most High God is 'Fearfully and wonderfully made' (Psalm 139:14), a creation like no other, a fingerprint from the Hand of God. You have spiritual gifts. You have worldly gifts.
When entering the entertainment industry, rising stars must embrace uniqueness. Look like no other. Act like no other. If you join SAG, even your name can be like no other. With Godly authority for worldly success, never copy anyone's style--except Jesus'. Love yourself as God made you.
Don't look like your crowd at home. Lead them. Let your curly hair rock and roll. Let your straight hair hang. Embrace the random beauty God gave you as a child--before you thought about it changing it. Don't put on a new face. The one He gave you is perfect. Keep an eye on New York style--then make it your own.
Once you step back into the one-of-a-kind person God fashioned you to be, become versatile; an actor has many roles to play. Study other people. Appreciate their gifts. 'Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep' (Romans 12:15), because compassion will make you a better performer.
Remember that a gift is also a talent. In biblical times, a 'talent' was a measure of gold equivalent to 75 U.S. pounds. At $1000 per ounce, that is $1,200,000.00. Today, the word, 'talent' describes God's investment of His gifts within us. What will we give back to Him?
