Movie Reviews
Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV)
More than a few Christian ministries review movies, and most of us appreciate an intelligent referral. Films with heart and hope are rare, but we face a flood of ugly words, twisted themes, and violence without redemption.

The movie business lies largely in enemy hands. He used to be sneaky about lust, lies, and lawlessness, but now he's overt. On the other hand, today's over-the-top evil serves God's plan in waking up His people.

God promises all things work together for the good--even bad movies.

Vampire fangs are hard to ignore. Strange to say, they're pulling the apathy off of God's people, like scales falling from Paul's blinded eyes. Once released, Paul saw his true purpose. Now we begin to see ours.

So what movies should we watch?

Christian performers must not be ignorant of Satan's devices. We need to know the enemy camp--as Joseph, Esther, Daniel, David, and Jesus did. With God's wisdom, we can rise within it.

Therefore, don't just watch television, movies, and videos. Study them with the Eyes of Jesus.

How can we stay clean? Stay close to God: His cleaning water, His redeeming blood. Protect your ears with the helmet of salvation.

Because to know his movies is to know his motives. And to know his motives is to rise above them.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
