Name Tags: You Are... (Part 25)
Whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him in Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:17 (NIV)
Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit Who calls out, 'Abba, Father.'

Galatians 4:6 (NIV)
In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

Ephesians 3:12 (NIV)
God designed people to be connected: in families and/or communities; in work projects and productivity; in celebrations and calamities; in fellowship to worship and praise Him; in outreaches to broadcast His Good News; in support of others less fortunate.

Mostly, God wants us connected with Him. Because He loves us with fervent passion. Consider it an electric current that empowers all other connections. Because without His constant energy, some of our most vital relationships will trip, falter or fail altogether.

Seeing connections from a worldly view, every smart business person understands: good connections make all the difference. If you're in tight with the one at the top, you've got an edge in whatever you need. That being said, who's higher than the Lord?

Actors, models and talent for Christ: You are connected to God through Christ. Consider some of your benefits:

1) The Lord regards you as His children.
2) He watches you morning, noon and night.
3) You've got a personal Defender.
4) You've got a personal Provider.
5) You've got a personal Companion.
6) You've got a dedicated Life Coach.
7) You've got the world's best Boss on your side.
8) He hears your prayers and petitions.
9) If your requests are right, He grants them.
10) When your work is done, He'll take you home.

"I labored, yet not I. By the grace of God, I am what I am, and do what I do' (paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 15:10). I love God's Word. As a late-in-life committed Christian with no Bible training prior to age 51, some people wonder how I'm qualified to write devotions. I wonder that, too. But God loves children and fools for Him. I am both. Ghost Writer? God.
