Name Tags: You Are... (Part 74)
Redeemed
You were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:20 (NKJV)
In Whom we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:14 (NKJV)
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
Most people don't know they live in bondage. Nevertheless, they're attached to time bombs pulling them closer and closer to death. The bomber is earth's king of con, Satan, who wraps up his destructive devices in marvelous media marketing.

His cons began with Eve and a fruit tree. Her bite caused a pandemic infection. Later, Abram formed a tribe God would free, but most of them couldn't follow His Rules. The serpent conned, bit and bound them as well.

But when Jesus came and laid down His Life, He beat the enemy. He redeemed us. Our subjection to sin and death ended. We were ransomed, cured, cleaned, clothed and made new, if we believed and followed our Savior.

Actors, models and talent for Christ: Believing is easy for a child, and you must safeguard your innocence. But at the same time, you must grow up to represent Him in media.

Therein, be as cunning as serpents, yet as gentle or harmless as doves. Such a contrasting combination can't be fathomed by a rigid church, but you were (re)born to play this role.

Even so, in the doing of it, never forget the price Jesus paid, never worship Hollywood's idols and never let yourself become one.
